Mother’s Day Week!

Happy Mother’s Day to Larna!

It’s Mother’s day next Sunday (cue everyone putting alarms in their phones to buy presents this week!). We would like to spend this week celebrating all our amazing mums here at Banksia Park Puppies and telling you stories about them so that you can get to know them better.

Our first mum we want to tell you all about is our lovely Larna. She is a wonderful mum and can you believe she had 11 puppies! She has been wonderful and raised them all on her own. She had enough milk to feed 11 puppies! Her puppies are gorgeous, and well brought up by her, and we have made up some photos and a little video too to showcase our lovely mum and her lovely 11 cavador puppies.

Slip and Slide fun

Banksia Park Puppies Summer Fun

It was very warm here yesterday at Banksia Park, but we had lots of fun. We had some of our young cavie puppies down playing with us on the slip and slide, and some in particular loved it! We shared one photo on Facebook but we had to share more as it was such a fun time with them.

Banksia Park Puppies – Cavies and Cavoodles

We had a good play with some of our puppies we’re keeping here at Banksia Park Puppies. One day they’ll be Banksia Park Dogs! Now they want lots and lots and lots of attention due to being in their critical socialisation period. This is where they do all their learning. So in this time we put loads of effort into training them, playing with them, patting them, and in general teaching them to be around people and kids. Socialisation time!

At Banksia Park Puppies we’ve had lots of people here over the past couple of months. Whenever we have new people we bring our future mums and dads (in their critical socialisation period) over to play with us so that they understand and get used to people, and especially kids. It’s great for our puppies, and of course the kids don’t ever complain about having cute puppies to play with!

Here is some of the photos we’ve taken over this time. These photos feature Bailey, Missy, Sylvie and Tim Tam!

At the very bottom is also some more of our socialisation play, these two lovely volunteers even took a funky video of them playing with the puppies and let us share it with you!

We’ve been playing with some of our new mums and dads to be and they are simply adorable! Bailey is FULL of character and jumps in the car, Tonka truck, and all the other kids toys which is adorable.
